JAMMU, May 5: A deputation of executive members of Mohalla Welfare Associaton of Shiv Nagar/ Shanti Nagar Jammu led by its president Rashpal Singh Manhas met Public Relation Officer to Deputy Chief Minister at his residence.
The deputation demanded black-topping of the road leading from Government Quarters Subash Nagar to Canal which was lying damaged due to sewerage work done by by the ERA for the last two years. The deputation was assured that the black-topping work will be started within a week’s time.
Others in the deputation were chairman Mangal Singh Chib, general secretary Sat Pal Sharma, secretary Baisakhi Ram and publicity secretary Yashpal Gupta.
Association president Rashpal Singh Manhas has appealed the ERA to start the work within stipulated time otherwise the association would be compelled to lodge a strong protest for the same.
