Besides, Santosh and Chugh, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh who is also the party's Core Group member, will reach here on October 3 morning to participate in the meetings.
However, newly appointed Prabhari for J&K and MP Rajya Sabha, Dr Satish Punia who is also the Prabhari of Punjab is unlikely to participate in the meeting in view of his preoccupation in organisational matters in Punjab which is going to polls ending this year.
Party sources said that soon after their arrival the national leaders will participate in a joint meeting of office bearers and MLAs which will start at 11 am at BJP Headquarters Trikuta Nagar and conclude in the afternoon. The meeting will have threadbare discussion on the organisational issues including party's month long programme of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan organised nationwide on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 and which will conclude on October 17. The party UT leaders will give complete feedback to Santosh about the programmes held in connection with Seva Sankalp in the UT during which masses were apprised of the benefits of various welfare and development schemes of Narendra Modi Government and ensure that these schemes reach the people without unnecessary difficulty at grassroots level.
The meeting will also discuss measures of further strengthening the party in the UT by reaching out to all sections of society irrespective of their region, religion, caste and creed to ensure that BJP really means Sabka Saath , Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas which has been the Mantra of PM Modi and main agenda of his Government.
Sources said the meeting will also deliberate over the current political situation in the UT and role of the BJP as the main opposition party and watchdog of interests of the people of J&K. The recent Assembly resolution on Statehood in which references were made to greater autonomy and special status will also come for discussion in the meeting with Santosh. The party leadership will apprise him about the stand taken by its legislators in the House and outside the Legislature.
Sources said the BJP has made it amply clear that there will be no compromise on the greater autonomy and Special status which have been buried since and any attempt of their restoration will be strongly resisted by the party as there has been a total transformation in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A in August 2019. The BJP will not allow the vicious designs of political parties seeking the restoration of the controversial articles to succeed.
The Office bearers meeting will be followed by the Core Committee meeting in the evening which will be attended by all Core Committee members including BJP JK UT president and MP Rajya Sabha, Sat Sharma, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, LoP, Sunil Sharma, BJP general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana, party general secretaries, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Sanjita Dogra, Gopal Mahajan and Anwar Khan, chief spokesperson of the party, Sunil Sethi, former president BJP, Ravinder Raina, Chairperson Wakf Board, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi and party spokesperson, G L Raina.
During the Core Group meeting, Santosh besides, taking feedback on organisational and political situation of the UT from Core Group members, will also discuss future roadmap of the party in the UT with reference to strengthening of the nationalist forces across J&K.
