BJP to hold grand programmes on ‘Raksha Bandhan’: Purnima

JAMMU, Aug 26: Announcing that eleven thousand females in each Assembly Constituency will be insured under “Pradhan Mantri Beema Yojana”, BJP Mahila Morcha State president Purnima Sharma said that it will be a gift on “Raksha Bandhan” for which premium of Rs. 12 each for insurance of two lakh will be born by Party MPs, MLAs, leaders and activists.
Purnima Sharma, while addressing media persons along with Morcha general secretaries Anuradha Charak and Anju Dogra, said that the party at the national level has finalized a number of grand programmes on “Raksha Bandhan” to be undertaken by Mahila Morcha. She said that the Mahila Morcha activists will be reaching borders touching Nepal, Bhutan, China and Pakistan to tie ‘rakhis’ to brave soldiers and personnel of other security forces to boost their moral and make them feel that they are not alone on this occasion.
In Jammu, BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vijaya Rahatkar will lead Morcha activists on the eve of “Raksha Bandhan” on August 28 morning to Air Force Station, Jammu tie ‘Raksha Sutra’ to officers and jawans of Air Force.
Purnima Sharma said that later, in the afternoon, a grand function will be held at KK Resorts, where thousands of females between 17-70 years of age will be insured under “Pradhan Mantri Beema Yojana”. In the evening, BJP Mahila Morcha national President along with State leadership of Morcha will reach Srinagar where Raksha sutra will be tied on wrists of Chief Secretary and other senior civil functionaries of the Government.
Purnima Sharma said that similar programmes will be held in our neighbouring State Punjab on August 27, where Mahila Morcha National President will herself remain present like in Jammu & Kashmir on August 28.
