NEW DELHI, May 10 : Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get more number of seats this time than compared to 2014 Lok Sabha election.
Campaigning for BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir in East Delhi which goes to the poll on 12th of this month, Dr Jitendra Singh said, whatever the political pundits might predict or whatever the newspaper columnists might write, 23rd of May will reveal that BJP gets an absolute majority on its own and along with NDA, a 2/3rd mandate. He said, as the election campaign comes to close in the union capital today, the opposition parties like Congress and Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) have already started issuing statements which indirectly concede defeat and it is only some so-called intellectuals who are putting out cynic comments because of their inability to reconcile with the new political culture introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the people of this country have realized the true meaning of democracy and “justice for all” during the last five years of the Modi government and they are in no way prepared to be pushed back to the long years of injustice and nepotism that they had suffered in the hands of the erstwhile Congress and UPA governments. This is going to be a decisive mandate for Prime Minister Modi and his policies, he said.
The security of India and the pro-poor initiatives, said Dr Jitendra Singh, have been the main issues in the current election and people across the country have seen with their own eyes the capacity with which the Modi government can chase the enemy up to its point of origin and at the same time, not allow the development agenda to be derailed by terrorism or Pakistan mischief.
In the East Delhi constituency where Gautam Gambhir is contesting as BJP candidate, Dr Jitendra Singh also met the residents from Himachal Pradesh, accompanied by Delhi BJP General Secretary (Organization) Siddhartan and Virender Kanwar, Minister in the Himachal Pradesh State Government.
