JAMMU, Aug 6: J&K BJP led by its president Ravinder Raina paid rich tributes to former Union Minister & BJP’s former iconic leader, Sushma Swaraj on her first death anniversary at party heaquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Former BJP State president, Sat Sharma, party general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul, party general secretary, Dr. D. K. Manyal, former Minister, Sukhnandan Choudhary, former MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, BJP secretary, Arvind Gupta, treasurer, Prabhat Singh Jamwal, office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta, spokesperson, Dr. Tahir Choudhary, media secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, BJYM office secretary, Gourav Pargal and Ravinder Jamwal also paid tributes to the iconic leader of the BJP.
Ravinder Raina, while paying floral tributes to former Minister said that Sushma Swaraj was amongst the few political personalities who will always be remembered with respect even by her political opponents. Narrating her life history and political career, he advocated that her life be seen as the role model for the true women empowerment. He said that she ruled the political space with her powerful oratory skills, compassion and rich contribution to India’s diplomacy.
Sat Sharma said that Sushma Swaraj worked throughout her life with extraordinary empathetic approach to the things and even proved her availability to help the common masses in the toughest of the times through social media as External Affairs Minister.
Ashok Kaul termed Swaraj as the true daughter of modern India. He explained that since her childhood she led a struggle full life for society. He prompted all the party leaders especially women activists of the party to follow her footsteps and take lessons from her works and struggle.
Dr. D. K. Manyal highlighted her contribution as a visionary leader and for the reforms in the visa process and the passport services.
