JAMMU, Nov 8: BJP celebrated Diwali as ‘Ek Deep Shaheedon Ke Naam’ at its party headquarters.
BJP State President, Ravinder Raina; Union MoS in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh; MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma and other senior leaders lighted earthen lamp in the memory of brave security personnel who sacrificed their lives in the honour of nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Raina said that Diwali marks the triumph good over evil.
“On this day we denounce the cowardly acts of Pakistan and its sponsored terrorists which take lives of innocent people and brave army-men,” he said appealing everyone to light a lamp in the names of martyrs as well.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that just days before the motherland lost its two sons and BJP has lost its dedicated soldiers.
He said that the loss will never be covered in the entire belt.
“As a part of family, BJP resolved that this Diwali will dedicated to every single person, be it civilian or army-man and we all have today enlightened at least one lamp each to pray for those who sacrificed their today for our better tomorrow,” he said.
Kavinder Gupta, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Rajeev Charak, Ajay Pargal, Chander Mohan Gupta, Naresh Dogra and others also spoke on the occasion.
