BJP leaders release Kohli’s Sarab, say film is against scourge of terror

JAMMU Feb 14:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders today released Ashish Kohli’s Sarab a film to generate awareness about the growing threat of terrorism.
“Since the terrorism is spreading its tentacles through social media in this cyber age, it has become necessary to counter the threat by equally powerful medium of films”, BJP president, Ravinder Raina said at the premier launch, along with senior leaders Devender Singh Rana , Sham Lal Sharma, and Zorawar Singh, among others, of a short film ‘Sarab’, a film based on terrorism by media journalist ,Ashish Kohli here this afternoon.
Raina said Kohli has done justice with the theme by portraying terrorism as a real threat that has pushed the world into a dark tunnel with peace becoming the biggest casualty. The threat of terror has to be countered unitedly by all segments of the people who believe in peaceful world order, he said.
Devender Singh Rana lauded Ashsih Kohli for conceptualizing the theme of the film and portraying it splendidly in the lead role.
Prominent among those present at the premier included Sonam Deep Singh Aulakh , Editor in Chief Jammu Express, who was guest of honour besides Dogri comedian Sanyam Pandoh , famous singer Varsha Jamwal , beautician Dr Ronisha , Supreet Kour, former Mrs India 2016 and Mrs Best Personality Glammon , RJ Roohi , Khwaish Gupta, Dr Hemja and Adhya Wazir .
The film has been written and produced by Vikram Sharma, a senior journalist and a filmmaker, and directed by Aaditya Bhanu , Ravi Sharma of Dhanraj Studios edited and added all VFX effects.
Besides Ashish Kohli , the film cast included Kamal Kishan Ganjoo, Bindia Chandan , Mannat , Amit Gupta , Sham Verma, Vikram Jasrotia , Arun Sharma , Shubham Kumar , Dennis Gill and Rahil Gupta.
The premier show caught the imagination of the audience who gave a huge applause and appreciated the roles played by the artists.
Senior film and theatre artist and director Sapna Soni conducted the proceedings of the event.
