BJP kick starts “Mass Contact Program” in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, May 1:  Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kashmir unit, on Friday, kick started its  “Mass Contact Programme” from Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
“The aim of the programme is to reach those people, who recently got themselves associated with BJP as its members as well as those who recently joined the BJP,” Ashok Kaul, BJP general secretary (org) said.
The mass contact program would help the party to realize its party strength in the area and at the same time it will also help the party workers to have direct, face to face interaction with the new members.
Today’s Anantnag program was chaired by Ashok Kaul and party MLCs Ramesh Arora and Sofi Yousuf shared dais with Kaul.
Ashok Kaul, while addressing a large gathering of party activists at Dak Bungalow, Anantnag, said that with each passing day our party is getting stronger in Jammu and Kashmir and in Kashmir till now we have enrolled more than two lakh members. He said our party will work for the welfare of people and in 2020 Assembly elections, we will form Government on our own.
Ramesh Arora, State vice-president & MLC, in his address, said the day is not far when our party will get 20 seats from Kashmir province. He also said that we will deliver our best and in return will get a reward from people.
MLC Sofi Yousuf, while addressing party workers, said that till date we have enrolled 80,000 plus members only from Anantnag district, which is indeed a achievement. He stressed upon the party workers to strengthen party in South Kashmir by enrolling more and more members.
BJP leaders also said that the program will continue upto May 6, and would be held at different places across Kashmir Valley.
Many leaders of BJP from South Kashmir including Mohd Siddiq Khan Gulam Nabi Dar, Muzaffar Hussan Katoo, Ashiq Hussain, Nazir Ahmed, Latif Ahmed, Mohd Ashraf, Nisar Khan, Mir Sajad participated in the program.
