BJP, JKNPP, Congress MLAs stage walkout from J&K Assy

JAMMU : BJP, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party and Congress legislators today staged a walkout in the Legislative Assembly over the issues of daily wagers and distribution of solar lights.
Led by BJP MLA Ashok Khajuria and JKNPP MLA Harsh Dev Singh, the members raised the issue of daily wagers and causal labourers in the Legislative Assembly.
The members disrupted the proceedings and said they (daily wagers) are protesting on the roads, but no attention is being paid to their issues.
Amid ruckus, the members demanded regularisation of the daily wagers and casual labourers.
Shouting slogans, they later staged a walkout.
Meanwhile Congress MLA from Inderwal Constituency, G M Saroori alleged discrimination over distribution of solar lights. He said no solar light has been allotted to his constituency, while the Government is neglecting his constituency on many other matters. (UNI)
