JAMMU, Oct 30: The ruling Government at the Centre has attained expertise in making big claims but on ground its performance is dismal with people suffering on all counts as civic edifice, healthcare, education, employment, tourism, businesses are all passing through an abysmal phase.
This was stated by Hari Singh Chib, vice president of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee while addressing party workers’ meeting at Ward No 59 falling in Jammu North Assembly segment.
The meeting was convened by Kaka Ram in which Uday Bhanu Chib Youth Congress leader & Member AICC, Somnath Sharma-president BCC Pata Paloura and others were present.
Addressing Party workers, Chib said that the people of the country have made a big mistake by voting to power the BJP and the need of the time is to root it out as soon as possible and install Congress Government to ensure good governance in the country. He said that BJP cannot offer anything except big hollow promises like bringing back black money, eradicating corruption, teaching a lesson to China and Pakistan, etc.
JKPCC vice president asked the party cadre to be united and disseminate information among the masses with regard to directionless policies of the BJP government.
Udhay Chib, Youth Congress leader said that the people of J&K are fed-up of series of lies and false promises made by the BJP leadership in the Union Territory. He asserted that the people of the country are struggling with rising inflation and the youths are finding it difficult to get jobs. “Inflation has affected people at all levels. Even a cup of tea is now beyond the reach of the common citizens. The Centre has not taken any firm steps to control skyrocketing prices,” he added.
Former PYC chief said that as of today unemployment is at peak in J&K which is evident from the fact that J&K has the highest unemployment in the country. He asked the cadre to convince the people that it is only the Congress party which can tackle unemployment, poverty and lies of BJP leadership on ground.
Jung Bahadur Singh, Virender Mehta, Parkash Singh, Ravi Koul, Roshan Lal Koul, Kuldeep Tak, Hans Raj Bhagat and others were also present.
