BJP Govt played major role in ruining OBCs of J&K: Adv Suresh Dogra

JAMMU, June 17: The OBC Wing of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today conducted a preparatory meeting to attend National convention of Other Backward Classes Department, All India Committee, to be held at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi in the first week of July.
The meeting was presided over by Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra (Chairman of the Wing) while Pawan Raina and Sanjeev Sharma (secretaries JKPCC) were the special guests.
Addressing the meeting, Advocate Suresh Dogra said that that Modi led BJP Government and UT Administration has played major role in ruining the OBCs of J&K, who are still deprived of their legal and constitutional rights. He said that the OBC status and the Mandal Commission report which guarantees 27% reservation and extension of National Commission for Backward Classes were totally ignored during 9 years of BJP rule.
Dogra said OBCs have been totally lost their confidence in the present regime so in the forthcoming National convention in which Rahul Gandhi shall be the chief guest, all the grievances of the OBCs of J&K would be taken into notice.
Pawan Raina while addressing the meeting said BJP’s motive always remained to befool the innocent people in the name of religion and community with the tactic of polarization. He said Congress always nourished a high platform for OBC members both at National and State levels.
Sanjeev Panda also highlighted the Congress’s pro policies and programs for the community. He said OBC community have key role to play in the Congress at every stage. It’s Congress who always stands for them at every crisis and will work for all their demands.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were Parshotam Mehra (vice chairman), Vijay Kumar (general secretary), Jagdish Kashyap (Jammu District Rural), Janak Raj, Raj Kumar Mehra (District chairman Jammu Urban), Sourav Mehra (Youth leader), Raj Kumar Verma (OBC chairman, District Reasi), Fazal Din, Darshan Verma, Gulshan, Pawan Mehra, Vikas Mehra and Parveen Kumar.
