BJP fails to reach common masses: Bhalla

JAMMU, June 10: Accusing the PDP-BJP Coalition Government of “failing” on all fronts, former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today asked where is the Government, it does not exist anywhere, it’s the coalition between few people who joined hands for the lust of power.
Addressing public gathering at village Chatha in Gandhi Nagar constituency Bhalla said that the PDP-BJP which had made several promises to the people of the State before coming to power, has proved to be a damp squib after coming to power. He accused the Government of being embroiled in controversies.
“They are more embroiled in controversies rather than focusing on providing governance to the people.  BJP-PDP Government has compounded the miseries’ of common people by not providing basic amenities like drinking water, power and health services in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Every section of the society is bearing brunt of the governance deficit,” Bhalla maintained.
He further said that failure of the BJP ministers to establish communication with the common masses has further compounded situation in this region. “People’s anger is mounting with every passing day because this coalition regime has done nothing to ameliorate their lot except promises. There is widespread resentment and anger among the masses against this regime.
“Refugees, migrants, pensioners, farmers, educated youth, traders, transporters, daily wagers and regular employees are on roads lodging their protests against the anti-people policies of the Government”, he said.
