JAMMU, Mar 7: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Displaced Kashmir Unit in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president, T N Bhat, while hailing the Central Government’s decision of enhancement of cash assistance to Kashmiri Pandit relief holders, has appealed the Government for according retrospective effect to the same from the date of announcement made by the Home Minister of India earlier.
The meeting of the Unit was held to take stock of the day-to-day problems being faced by the Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Community putting up in Camps and Non-Camps.
The members hoped that the problems with which the Displaced Community is confronted may be redressed at an earliest to help the Community not to be left in the lurch.
Mr Bhat assured the members that the Unit will leave no stone unturned in solving the problems of the Community.
Prominent among the executive members present in the meeting were Virender Kuchroo, general secretary, Bansi Bhat, P L Dhar, Ashok Bhat, AK Pandita, AK Koul, Vijay Raina, Satish Zutshi, Makhan Lal, P.I Sudeshi, Chaman Lal Koul, Veena Gurtu, Santosha, Maharaj Krishan Bhat, Raja Ji Koul, Ravinder Kumar Thusoo, Ashok Tickoo and Sunil Bhat.
