JAMMU, Aug 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of JKAS officer Bilal Ahmad Mir, with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 1415-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on August 19, Bilal Ahmad Mir, JKAS, presently serving as Sub-Registrar, Khansahib, and holding additional charge of Sub-Registrar, Budgam, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary in the J&K Legislative Assembly.
The order states that the decision has been taken “in the interest of administration” and will take effect immediately.
Meanwhile, Jahangir Ahmed, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khansahib, has been directed to hold the charge of Sub-Registrar, Khansahib and Sub-Registrar, Budgam, in addition to his existing duties, until further orders.
The government order was issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department. The order was subsequently circulated to senior government authorities, including the Director General of Police, J&K, Principal Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Chief Electoral Officer, and the Secretary, J&K Legislative Assembly, among others.
The order, bearing No. GAD-SERVOGENL/35/2026, is dated August 19, 2026.
