Bhatia Cricket Club outplays Sher-e-Kashmir CC by 100 runs

JAMMU, June 6: Bhatia Cricket Club defeated Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club by a big margin in an easy contest of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.
Batting first, Bhatia Cricket Club rode on brilliant half-centuries by Rishab and Shivam to score a good total of 249 runs in the stipulated 30 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Rishab scored 94 off 68 balls, studded with 14 fours and one six, while Shivam scored 76 off 69 balls including 6 boundaries. Pankaj took 3 wickets, while Shahrukh claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club managed to score 149 runs in 25.2 overs. Sumit top scored with 65 off 51 balls including 8 boundaries, while Rohit contributed 37 runs to the total. For Bhatia Cricket Club, Jaipal took 3 wickets, while Pankaj, Gitansh and Ashwani claimed 2 wickets each. Rishab of Bhatia Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his magnificent 94 runs.
At Sports Stadium, Kathua, Abhishek XI registered a narrow win over Partap XI Kathua in JKCA U-19 Premier Championship.
Winning the toss and batting first, Partap XI Kathua bundled out for 96 runs in 18.4 overs. Shivam, Dakshit and Tahir Wani contributed 20, 18 and 11 runs to the total respectively. For   Abhishek XI Kathua, Rajat was the wrecker-in-chief, scalping 5 important wickets by conceding 23 runs in 5.4 overs, while Shanu claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Abhishek XI Kathua chased the target in 11.2 overs by losing 8 wickets, thus won the match by 2 wickets. Abhishek Sassan top scored with 44 runs, while Arjun contributed 16 runs to the total. Dheewan took 4 wickets, while Dikshit claimed 3 wickets for Partap XI Kathua.
Rajat of Abhishek XI Kathua was declared as man of the match.
