Bhalla dedicates Rs 25 lakh multipurpose community hall to people

JAMMU, Oct 13: Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports, Raman Bhalla today dedicated Rs. 25 lakh multipurpose community hall at Bhore Camp here today.
Soon after dedicating Multipurpose Community Hall, the Minister addressed a large gathering at Bhour Camp and said this hall would facilitate the people of Bhour Camp and its adjoining areas in providing them banquet hall, kitichen and parking facilities while arranging their social as well as religious functions on minimum fee.
Mr. Bhalla said Government is making all out efforts to provide basic amenities to the downtrodden populace so that they could enjoy their daily life at par with well off people.
The Minister said Government has launched various schemes to uplift the socio economic condition of the below poverty line people. He called upon the people to avail benefits under BSUP and IAY scheme. He said Government has provided Rs. 2.75 lakh under BSUP scheme and Rs. 49000 under IAY besides Rs. 15,000 for construction toilet blocks under Rural Sanitation Scheme.
Earlier, Mr. Bhalla also visited Jalalabad in Bathandi and interacted with people and listended their development retaled problems.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Government is well aware of the problems of the people and committed to redress their all grievances in a phased manner. He said that massive development has been witnessed in every nook and corner of the State during the last five and half years.
Mr. Bhalla called upon the inhabitants of Preet Nagar to not waste drinking water unnecessarily and to use it judiciously. He said various projects have been launched in Gandhi Nagar constituency to mitigate the general demands of the people like safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, proper lanes and draining system, etc.
The Minister also appealed the people not to dump debris in the lanes, drains besides open spaces, adding that such practices are unhygienic and turn into nuisance for the visitors. He asked the JMC to prepare estimates for modernization of dilapidated condition left out lanes and drains and submit the same for funding so that the construction work of the lanes and drains could be started for the benefit of general masses.
Mr. Bhalla said Government is making all out efforts to revive overall profile of every corner of the State by providing latest technique infrastructure.
