JAMMU, Apr 14: The ancient Bhairav Dev Temple at heart of the city in Chowk Chabutra area organized special rituals to celebrate the rechristening of Chowk Chabutra as Bhairav Chowk and Upper Bazar as Bhairav Bazar.
The rituals were held amidst the chanting of Mantras under the supervision of Mahant Rumil Sharma of Bhairav temple who said that special prayers were also held on this occasion to get relief from the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
The programme culminated with the serving of a Langar among the devotees.
Mahant Rumil Sharma thanked Jammu Municipal Corporation for renaming the Chowk and Bazar and said that other areas and parks in the city should also be renamed after ancient temples there.
