JAMMU, Mar 17: Seven-day Bhagwat Gita Katha Path commenced here today at Maa Durga Temple in village Kot (Badhani).
A large number of devotees from nearby villages participated in the religious event.
Giving introduction of Bhagwat Gita, Shastri Shree Raghunandan Pradeep Ji of village Seri Pandita, said that the knowledge found within the Bhagwat-Gita is incomparable as it gives specific information regarding the purpose of human existence, the immortality of the soul and our eternal relationship with God.
“This information applies to each and every one of us without exception. Without realization of our divine relationship with the God it is impossible to establish our eternal relationship with Him. This divine relationship is our natural constitutional position and every human being’s birthright”, he added.
The Path was organized by Temple Committee. Giving more information about the religious event, the president of the Committee, Harbans Lal, said that Shree Bhagwat Gita Path will be recited by Shastri Ji every day till March 23 from 12 noon to 4 pm.
