BFDC discusses arrangements for upcoming Navratra Festival

JAMMU, Sept 14: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) held a meeting today under the presidentship of Rajeev Charak regarding arrangements of Navratra Festival, which is commencing from September 25, 2014.
On the occasion, Charak welcomed the new volunteers in the organization and assigned them duties to be performed during Navratras. He told them to cooperate with the devotees, not to misbehave with anyone, discuss their problems with their seniors and other concerned officials and not to allow anyone to take electronic items like mobiles, cameras, etc, inside the temple premises.
He also asked the volunteers to remain vigilant against unscrupulous or anti-national elements while providing varied level of assistance to the devotees during the Navratras.
Charak also requested officials of concerned departments to complete their bit of work as early as possible before Navratras, so that the devotees may not face any difficulty in seeking blessings of Mata Maha Kali. He also appealed Traffic Police for proper management of the traffic.
Raghav Gupta, general secretary, BFDC, briefed the volunteers about do’s or don’ts during Navratras. He also appealed people in general to cooperate with the Police and volunteers deployed at the holy shrine to avoid any type of mis-happening during Navratras.
