BCC holds meet, highlights issues

JAMMU, Sept 7: Block Congress Committee (BCC), Bishnah held a meeting which was chaired by member PCC Gambhir Dev Singh Charak and attended by office bearers and members of committee, representatives of different areas and hundreds of youths, sarpanchs, panchs and students.
On the occasion, Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Former Member CWC-AICC was the chief guest.
Various youth leaders expressed their anguish over the worsening position of the area falling under Tehsil Bishnah and Tehsil Arnia due to devastating rains and floods. They also expressed anguish over mismanagement of power supply in the area.
They also raised problems being faced by the people residing near the Indo-Pak border who are facing acute hardships due to the recent floods caused by the incessant rains for the last few days.
The participants during the meeting passed a resolution demanding compensation for people affected by recent rains and floods, restoration of damaged roads, bridges and lanes etc, special recruitment drive for youths, allotment of 5 marlas plot to the people living near border in some safer place and proper buildings and play grounds to be provided to the Degree College Bishnah.
While speaking, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak extended his full support to get these demands redressed.
Gulchain Singh Charak while addressing the youths disclosed that he alongwith other leaders of the area will not only support the above mentioned resolutions but will do everything which is required for the bright future of the youths.
He urged upon the Government to take immediate necessary steps for the proper arrangements for the people who suffered a lot due to the havoc created by rains and floods.
