JAMMU, Dec 1: An urgent meeting of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held under its president Lalit Mahajan in presence of Rahul Bansal senior vice president, Varun Singla, vice president, Ajay Langer general secretary, Viraaj Malhotra secretary/treasurer and other members of the Association to discuss the serious issue related to the working of Hindustan Petroleum LPG Bottling Plant from SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana which is fire hazard and creating hurdles in the movement of the traffic in the Industrial Complex.
While deliberating the issue, members showed their concern in respect of safety of their units and workers working adjoining to the Bottling Plant and in case of any mis-happening the whole of the Industrial Complex shall turn into a fireball resulting huge financial losses as well as the thousands of human life which are at stake. The members also raised the issue regarding the un-authorized parking of tankers and trucks outside bottling plant which has always created a mess resulting into huge Traffic Jam due to which the precious time of Unit Holders is wasted every day and we fear that in case of any incident with the involvement of LPG tankers and trucks due to leakage of Gas, a massive fire may break out in the Industrial Complex which will create havoc.
“We request the Industries & Commerce Minister Chander Parkash to take up the matter immediately with the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for the shifting of LPG Bottling Plant as early as possible from the SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana to some other suitable place outside for keeping in mind the safety of the whole Industrial Complex” said the office bearers of BBIA.
