KATRA, May 16: A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Baldev Raj Sharma regarding the selection of revenue village Kotli Bajalian in the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency under the Government of India’s Solar Model Village Scheme.
The meeting was attended by Anoop Sharma, Technical Officer, JAKEDA, and Deepank, Consultant, GIZ, along with their respective teams.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the proposed Solar Model Village initiative, implementation process, adoption of renewable energy solutions and the future roadmap for sustainable and clean energy development in the village. Special emphasis was laid on ensuring that the benefits of the scheme reach all hamlets of the revenue village including Kadmal, Padthal, Dhana, Noamin and Drabi.
Among those present during the meeting were Chander Mohan, Block Development Council Chairman , Romesh Choudhary, Ex-Sarpanch, Mohan Sharma, Naib Sarpanch, Panchs of various wards and a large number of local residents.
After the meeting, Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency, deputed the technical team along with local representatives and residents for a detailed field visit of the village to assess the ground situation and identify suitable locations for implementation under the proposed Solar Model Village initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Raj Sharma expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for their continued support towards developmental and renewable energy initiatives in the region. He stated that the Solar Model Village initiative would play a significant role in transforming rural areas through clean and green energy solutions while improving the overall quality of life of the people.
