JAMMU, May 14: Bagalamukhi Jayanti was celebrated today at Natraj ji Temple here in Raghunath temple under the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust, Jammu.
Bagalamukhi is one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom Goddesses) in Hinduism. Bagalamukhi Devi smashes the devotee’s misconceptions and delusions (or the devotee’s enemies) with her cudgel. She is also known as Pitambara.
President, J&K Dharmarth Trust, BR Kundal, participated in Hawan organized on the occasion followed by Arti in the temple of Mata Bagalamukhi Ji.
Hundreds of devotees and senior citizens took part in the Arti. A bhandara was also organized in which a large number of devotees took parsad.
Secretary, Shashi Khajuria and staff member of the Dharmarth Trust, Pawan Shastri, president, Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Hera Lal Abrol and Pujaries of the Trust were also present on the occasion.
