JAMMU, July 29: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, AYUSH Immunity Booster medicines distribution cum awareness camp was held at Raj Bhawan here today.
During the camp, the Department of AYUSH, J&K distributed free Immunity Booster medicines to the SSF/CRPF/ Rajbhawan personnel and yoga exercises were demonstrated as they play pivotal role in enhancing the immunity
Dr. D. K. Sharma, Nodal officer ISM, COVID-19,Jammu gave a detailed briefing on the importance of strong immunity in fight against COVID-19 and other various important health aspects related to the disease. He informed about the initiatives and measures undertaken by the ISM (AYUSH) to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in J&K.
AYUSH Experts- Dr. Harbaksh Singh and Dr.Sonika Gupta along with the paramedical staff demonstrated the effective uses of AYUSH immunity boosters. They laid stress on inculcating exercise, yoga and other healthy practices in day to day life, besides adopting a behavioural change to protect oneself not only from COVID-19 but also from other diseases to lead a healthy life. Interactive session was also held where the experts answered the queries of the participants.
Meanwhile, Raj Paul Singh, Joint Director SSF, AAkash Kohli, AD SSF and AC Shashi Kant CRPF interacted with the personnel and asked them to follow all the preventive measures to protect themselves and their families from the spread of COVID-19.
