JAMMU, Feb 25: To empowering economically backward students, Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust (AWICT) today provided books, stationery, furniture items and a water cooler to Dansal Government Girls Middle school and also opened a free Tailoring and cutting center.
The event was part of Trust’s ongoing drive to promote gender equality and to motivate the girls from poor families to continue their studies.
The books and stationery were handed over to the students by Aditi Sharma, president of the Trust, who is also a social workers and women-child right activist.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditi said that Trust will continue to work for the betterment of society and provide aid to needy students so that they can continue their studies without any hurdle. She also suggested the students to opt good habits in life and study well to achieve desirable goal in life.
Other present on the occasion included Palvi Sharma, Suresh Motton, Pankaj Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Bhuvan Sharma and Charan Singh.
