Avny Lavasa Assigned Additional Charge Of Tribal Affairs Department

Jammu, Aug 17 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned additional charge of the Tribal Affairs Department to senior IAS officer Avny Lavasa, in a significant administrative arrangement ordered by the General Administration Department (GAD).

According to Government Order No. 1409-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated August 17, 2026, Avny Lavasa, IAS (AGMUT: 2013), presently serving as Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, and holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality & Protocol Department, has been ordered to also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, in addition to her existing duties.

The order has been issued in the interest of administration and will remain effective until further orders.

The government order was issued by the General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir, on the directions of the Lieutenant Governor.

The latest assignment places the important Tribal Affairs Department under the additional charge of Avny Lavasa, who will continue to discharge her existing responsibilities in the Transport Department as well as the additional charge of Hospitality & Protocol.

The order has been circulated to all concerned senior officers and departments for information and necessary action.
