SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Leader of Opposition (LoP), Sunil Sharma today said that seven day Autumn session of State Assembly was most unfortunate and historic for the wrong reasons.
Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Sharma said every section including daily wagers, NHM, Contractual employees, NYC, ASHA, Anganwadi and common masses had expectations that the Government would answer their issues, but not a single issue was answered. ``We collected issues from every district and raised them, but the NC Government remained silent,'' he added.
He said the Chief Minister is calling it a fruitful session and questioned that from which angle it was "Fruitful''? “You dashed the hopes of all sections to ground. People were waiting for your Statehood resolution, which you chant as an answer to every question. BJP is committed to Statehood as per its agenda, but you sabotaged the Statehood of common people by linking it with Pre-1953 position and Article 370."
"After abrogation of 370, all confusion is over and the full Constitution of India is implemented in J&K. By raking up Pre-53 again, you have prolonged and sabotaged Statehood," Sharma said.
He reminded that when late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah demanded a separate Constitution and separate Flag, then PM Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru jailed him for 22 years.
Sharma questioned Congress leadership from Rahul Gandhi to Mallikarjun Kharge: "What is your stand on this resolution seeking Statehood with Pre-53 and 370? Do you want to divide India again and bring separatism back? By supporting this unconstitutional resolution, Congress has unmasked itself and should be ashamed. The nation is asking how can they support this."
He said BJP will never the NC to succeed in its vicious designs as Special Status and Greater Autonomy have since been buried under the ground.
He also questioned Speaker of Assembly under which Rule did he allow such an unconstitutional resolution in Assembly which was declared illegal by the Law Department and further demanded that the Speaker should step down on moral grounds for allowing such bills in the Assembly.
He said the people of J&K are deeply hurt by this shameful act. BJP has prepared a Dossier - which they are submitting to the Government through the Assembly exposing each promise. Even today 13,000 posts are vacant and NC Government is unable to utilize PSC and SSRB efficiently.
