JAMMU, Feb 26: Coach Atul Pangotra deputed in J&K Sports Council, has been selected to officiate in the World Taekwondo online Poomsae Championship which is scheduled to be held from March 14 to April 20.
The appointment was made directly by the World Taekwondo president Dr Chungwon Choe. The online series of events was introduced by the World Taekwondo in 2020 in order to motivate the athletes to stay healthy and in training.
Pangotra recently officiated in the Fujairah Open International Olympic ranking event held at Dubai and was also the part of all the online based tournaments organised by World Taekwondo. The J&K athletes are also going to participate in this virtual championship under the banner of J&K Sports Council and J&K Taekwondo Association.
