REASI, Aug 12: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 07 numbers of cattle, which were being smuggled to Kashmir from village Sangar in Arnas.
Two bovine smugglers were also arrested on the spot and they were identified as Mohd Rafiq and Mohd Shabir. They were intercepted by a Police party on patrolling at village Sanger Jij Bagli when they were taking bovine animals to Kashmir on foot via Nari Sanger Gulabgarh route.
A case FIR number 68/2020, under section 188 IPC has been registered in this connection at P/S Arnas and further investigation is going on.
