KATHUA, Sept 20: Four athletes of Athletic Club Kathua won eight Gold medals and one Bronze medal in SBKF National level Games, held at Indore in Madhya Pradesh from September 16 to 19.
All the players got a rousing welcome on their return from the National at Railway Station, here from the Club members.
Ravi Kumar Jassal won three gold and remained best athlete in 1500, 5000 and 10000 metres, while Kewal Krishan secured three gold and remained best athlete in 1500, 5000 and 10000 metres and Dheeraj Billowaria clinched two gold and in 800 and 1500 metres, besides Shivansh Manhotra won Bronze medal in 100 metre.
Player Ravi Kumar said that it is a matter of pride for us and Kathua district for winning nine medals in the said championship, wherein 60 players from J&K participated.
