KARGIL, Aug 31: The ASMITA Wushu City League was organised in Kargil, with around 90 athletes from different blocks of the district participating enthusiastically.
The event was organised under the aegis of the Wushu Association of India, with the Wushu Association of Ladakh conducting the championship at the local level.
Prof. Bilques Fatima, Nutritionist, graced the occasion as the chief guest and appreciated the young athletes for their participation. She emphasised the importance of proper nutrition, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle for sporting excellence.
Earlier, the ASMITA Wushu City League in Leh was held, witnessing participation of around 70 athletes. Dr Stanzin Gyatso, who attended as chief guest, encouraged the participants to work hard and pursue excellence.
The leagues provided young Wushu athletes of Ladakh a platform to showcase their talent and competitive skills. The Wushu Association of Ladakh expressed gratitude to all officials, coaches, athletes and supporters for making the events successful.
