JAMMU,July 10: BJP State secretary, Aseem Gupta interacted with the Vistaraks (whole timers) of the party in the Nagrota, Marh and Raipur Domana constituencies to share their experiences while working in their respective allotted areas.
Aseem Gupta, while addressing the Vistaraks, said that today India is celebrating three years of good governance of BJP led Government at the Centre and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working very sincerely for the upliftment of poor and down-trodden in the society. Emphasis is being laid on socio- economic uplifment of the weaker sections by his Government, he added.
He said that the main aim of Vistaraks is to work as a link between party and public. This will strengthen the party base among common masses. These Vistaraks are approaching every household to know their problems and their expectations from the party and the Government. He appealed to the Vistaraks to work wholeheartedly for welfare of the society.
While elaborating, he said that 18 Vistaraks from Reasi, 6 from Katra, 8 from Pouni and 6 from Purmandal worked in these regions. He appreciated the works of these Vistaraks and said that they have left their homes for the welfare of society and so the party as well as society will always be thankful to them for this noble gesture. He said that 260 out of 279 polling booths were covered by these Vistaraks during their stay in the area and remaining 19 will be covered soon.
He also said that the locals also appreciated the efforts by these noble souls who despite hot and humid weather kept working towards their goal. Public apprised the Vistaraks about status of the Government sponsored schemes in their areas and also about the ongoing works of development by various departments.
He added that BJP is a people oriented party with popular support from all the communities. He also complimented the Central as well as State Government for the implementation of GST in the State and said that this is landmark decision and it will go a long way for the development of the trade and industry of the State as well as ease out the prices of essential commodities for the poor besides strengthening the tax structure of the State.
District president Rural Omi Khajuria along with Mandal presidents were among the prominent persons present.
