JAMMU, May 22: MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the renovation and development work of the Vishwakarma Sabha Hall in Ward No. 28, Bakshi Nagar here.
On the occasion, the MLA announced a contribution of Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the execution of the project aimed at improving community infrastructure and public facilities in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta said that community halls play an important role in strengthening social harmony and providing a platform for cultural, social and public welfare activities. He stated that the development of public infrastructure remains a priority for the Jammu West constituency and assured residents that more developmental works would continue in the coming months.
“Vishwakarma Sabha Hall is an important center for community activities in Bakshi Nagar. The renovation work will provide better facilities to residents and help in organizing social and cultural programs in a proper manner,” he said.
During the programme, local residents and members of the Vishwakarma Sabha expressed gratitude to the MLA for extending financial support and initiating the much-awaited work. They said the upgraded hall would greatly benefit the local population and encourage community engagement in the area.
Prominent locals, Sabha members and residents of Ward No. 28 were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
