VIJAYPUR, June 10: Monthly meeting of the Congress workers was held at Vijaypur under the leadership of senior Congress leader Arun Kumar Sharma for highlighting the  grievances and issues of  general people in Vijaypur Assembly constituency.
During the meeting, Congress workers drew attention towards the burning issues like scarcity of drinking water, power shutdowns, poor condition of interior road and the situation arisen due to border firing.
While addressing the meeting,  Arun Sharma charged the PDP-BJP Government with its  failure on all fronts and appealed people to teach both the parties a lesson in the next elections.
He particularly lambasted the BJP for its surrender to the separatists and PDP for the lust of power and alleged  that the saffron party had  stabbed in back of the people of Jammu who had voted it to power.
The Congress leader said that the double speak of BJP on the demand for CBI probe into Rassana incident had exposed the party. “While  a few BJP  leaders are openly supporting the demand for CBI probe into Rassana incident, the party ministers in the Government are maintaining a silence over the same and thus playing with  sentiments of people and creating a sense of uncertainty in the State,” he explained.
Asking the people to be aware of divisive policies of the  BJP, Arun Sharma claimed that only Congress represents all sections, regions and communities without any bias against anyone.
Others, who  spoke in the meeting, included Bishamber Singh Slathia, Dr Chajju Ram, Capt Baldev Raj, Capt Bhola Nath, Capt  Atter Chand, Gulshan Lal, Rajesh Kumar, Nazir Ahmed, S Jarnail Singh, Paramjit Choudhary and  S  Onkar Singh.
