Army provides hand pump for general public

JAMMU, Oct 15: The Kachrial Battalion of Cross Swords Division provided hand pump to Chhaprial village of Akhnoor tehsil, today.
Speaking at the impressive ceremony Dev Raj, Sarpanch appreciated the gesture of the Indian Army of understanding the need of people in these remote villages. The facility provided by the Army will help in making up of short fall in water supply in the area. It will help the locals to avoid collection of water from unhygienic sources which could lead to diseases. He appealed to the people to make judicious use of water.
Apart from the Sarpanch, the event was attended by the locals which include village elders, children and women of the area. The joy and enthusiasm was perceptibly visible on the faces of the locals on receiving the hand pump provided by the Indian Army.
