JAMMU, Oct 9: An Army Jawan was found hanging late last night in an Army establishment at New Plot.
“The Jawan identified as Thomas KP of Kerala was found hanging by his colleagues near his barrack. In unconscious condition, they rushed him to Military Hospital, Satwari, where doctors declared him as brought dead”, a police official said.
He said later the body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after postmortem the body was today handed over to the Army authorities. “The deceased Jawan has returned just two days back from his home”, he added.
“In this connection, inquest proceeding has been initiated at police post Sarwal”, the official added.
