POONCH, Dec 20: A water supply scheme was today handed over to locals of village Hillkaka in tehsil Surankot by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force.
Water is an essential requirement for day to day sustenance; however in village Hillkaka there was a short water supply to fulfill the day-to-day water requirement. Taking cognizance of the situation, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion undertook a water supply scheme project to assist the locals.
Under this project a water tank of 15,000 liter capacity was constructed near a perennial spring water source and from this water pipes has been laid to the village through which water will be supplied to the inhabitants.
The local Sarpanch as well as villagers of Hillkaka were present during the occasion.
