BARAMULLA, Aug 17: Army Goodwill School, Boniyar, Baramulla conducted the Annual Day celebrations of the School with traditional pomp and show, here.
The occasion highlighted the enviable record achieved by the school in the field of academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
The success story of the school has been epitomized by one of its notable alumni, Marisha Aslam, who graduated from the school in 2012 and is currently pursuing her MBBS Final Year from SKIMS College.

The annual report of the school was presented by the Principal, Syed Abid Rizvi, in which he highlighted the achievements of the School.
The students of the school thereafter showcased their immense talent by producing a variety entertainment programme which had its hues from various parts of the country.
Showcasing the culture of Kashmir and promoting the local art forms were the basic aim of the cultural programme, wherein the children voluntarily chose to try their hand in other traditional dance forms of the country too.
The Jhumar dance of tea tribes and Bihu dances of Assam enthralled the audience and gave an excellent account of the students to adapt instantly to such varied art forms.
Major General R P Kalita, SM, VSM, GOC of the Dagger Division and Patron of the School was the chief guest on the occasion.
He complimented the students for their immense talent and willingness to produce such fine performance.
He also praised the faculty for an excellent academic performance and exhorted them to mould the children to contribute at the national level.
