JAMMU, Nov 17: APS Nagrota celebrated its annual day amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation, here today.
The ceremonial function was presided over by Brig Ravinder Gurung, Chairman, Army Public School Nagrota as chief guest.
The event commenced with the lighting of the inaugural lamp by the chief guest escorted by the other dignitaries and Principal, APS Nagrota.
Earlier, Ruchi Bahl, presented welcome address and Annual Report which highlighted the achievements of the school.
The cultural programme was based on the theme ‘Bouquet of cultural heritage’, which started with Saraswati Vandana and followed by the meticulous performances of the tiny toddlers of the primary section and budding artists of the secondary section. The students exhibited their hidden talent through their performances on Dogri Dance, Kashmiri Dance, Western Dance, Fusion Dance, Bangra, Hindi and English Skit.
The audiences were spell-bound while looking at these spectacular performances.
The student achievers in academics, NCC, NSS, Sports and cultural activities were suitably rewarded by Chief Guest. Certificates of merit, proficiency and distinctions were also awarded. The school magazine, “The Reflections” was released by the chief guest on the occasion.
