JAMMU, Dec 18: Army Public School Kaluchak celebrated its Annual Day with pomp and show in the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu today.
The chief guest Brig. N.S. Khroud, Chairman, Army Public School Kaluchak, Inderjit Kour Khroud, Chairperson FWO Tiger Arty Bde, guest of honour, graced the occasion and were given a cordial welcome by the Principal, staff and the students of the school. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dy Cdr – Col. R.K Singh and all officers of Tiger Arty Bde.
The chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp. The function proceeded with invocation of Goddess Saraswati- an obeisance to Goddess of knowledge. The Principal of the School, Ramesh T R presented welcome address and read out the Annual report of the school to elucidate the achievements and updated the parents about the academic excellence attained by the students.
The cultural Bonanza was appreciated by one and all. All the participants were highly impressive. Hindi Play ” Breaking News” enthralled the audience. Lavani dance of Maharashtra made everyone spellbound with the nimble footed movements. The enthusiasm and cheerfulness of the participants of Dogri Dance,Bhangra Dance,etc was beyond description. Children of junior wing swayed to the foot tapping beats of patriotic dance. Kalbelia and Ghoomar dances took the audience to Rajasthan, whereas Dandiya mesmerized each heart. No one could escape the feeling that surged within each heart through Bangra and orchestra.
Vote of thanks was presented by the School Head Girl Harpriya Sudan. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
