JAMMU, Aug 22: Supporting the migrant employees serving in Valley whose protest entered 38th day in front of Relief organisation today, various KP organisations urged the Government not to test their patience and solve the demand of these employees without further delay.
All Party Migrant Coordination Committee and Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) which is supporting the protesting employees have warned to intensify the agitation in case Government continues to be mute spectator to the demands.
The APMCC said that it is pity that the Government has not even released the salaries of these employees while their counterparts in Valley were paid the salaries.
“We will not let the struggle of these employees to go waste”, said national spokesperson APMCC King C Bharati while addressing a huge gathering of agitating KP employees demanding shifting outside the Valley due to dangerous situation prevailing there.
He said BJP which is partner in the Government was equally responsible for the plight of these employees.
Addressing the employees APMCC chairman Vinod Pandit assured the employees that APMCC will take their struggle to next level for which entire Kashmiri Pandit leadership has already been consulted and a draft resolution prepared which will be submitted to either Prime Minister or Home Minister very soon.
KHC general secretary Jai Krishan Maktoom while lambasting Government’s silence over the plight of these employees said that the lack of will on the part of Government to settle the Pandits at a single place in Valley has emboldened the separatists to calls shots. He said GoI has once again been exposed as the displaced Pandit community has once been again neglected in the centrally housing scheme for all.
He said while 946 crore for J&K were prioritised by Centre there was no mention about establishing a separate township for Pandits in Valley and this shows the double peak of the Government. He appealed the community to unite and come on one platform to seek justice for these hapless employees as well as the whole community.
Meanwhile, the agitation employees also mourned the demise of their colleague who died here yesterday due to sudden heart attack. They observed two minutes silence in his memory.
