SRINAGAR, Aug 27: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir today attached a two-storey residential house worth Rs 50 lakh belonging to an accused in a drug trafficking case, tightening the crackdown on assets allegedly linked to the narcotics trade.
The property belongs to Iftikhar Ahmad, son of Ghulam Rasool Qureshi of Taad, Karnah, Kupwara, the ANTF said.
The action was taken under Sections 68-E and 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Ahmad, as per the ANTF, is an accused in FIR No. 06/2026 registered at Police Station ANTF Kashmir under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act and Section 61 of the BNS.
The action is part of the ANTF's ongoing drive to identify and proceed against properties and assets allegedly derived from or connected with narcotics-related activities.
