REASI, June 20: In yet another incident of leopard attack, a ten-year old girl was mauled to death by the wild beast at Sarh Bagga, under the jurisdiction of Mahore Police Station, here this evening.
Reports said that Ruksana Bano (10), daughter of Abdul Gani of Neeram viilage, Sarh, Bagga was today killed by leopard when she was with her cattle at the Dhok. The leopard dragged her to the nearby forest where dead body of the victim was found later on.
This was the fifth incident of leopard attack in the area for the last one month. Despite hectic efforts by the Wildlife Department and District administration, no success could be made to trap or kill the wild beast, which has triggered a panic wave in the areas.
According to unconfirmed reports, a group of five leopards was spotted near a nallah in Mahore yesterday.
