UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Bhart-iya College of Education Udhampur organised two days annual sports meet in the College campus wherein volleyball and badminton matches were played in both Men and Women categories .Different colleges from the Jammu division participated in the meet.
Badminton matches were played on 28-04-2016.Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur was the winner in men Category (double) and New Age Degree College Billawar was the runnerup in the sets of 23-21,23-21.In women category(double) host College remained the winner against Bhaskar Degree College in the sets of 21-12,21-19. In singles Pankaj and Himani were the winners.
In volleyball matches the finals were played between Govt Degree College Ramnagar and Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur (Women Category) in which Govt Degree College Ramnagar was the winner in the sets of 25-18 and 25-19and in men category Govt Degree College Udhampur emerged as a winning team against Bhaskar Degree College in the sets of 25-19 and 25-23.
The final matches of volleyball were witnessed by Ashok Sharma Director Sports Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra.Dr Anita Bali Principal of the College besides faculty members and large no of students.Mr Manik Nargotra and Rajesh were the match refrees.Mr Rakesh Sharma was the commentator of the final matches. Ashok Sharma Director sports also distributed medals and trophies to the participating teams.
