JAMMU, Nov 16: Annual cum Sports Day of the Primary Wing was held at Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School Jammu with great alacrity, here today.
The students of classes I to IV displayed their talent during celebration of the day, which was titled as ‘Ad Pacem’. Dr Kanchan Kaur, Associate Director, Oncosurgery, Medanta, was chief guest on the occasion.
The programme was envisioned keeping in mind the need for World Peace today. The students brought home the message ‘Think Love, Think Peace, Think Harmony.’ They presented a colourful bonanza of dances, drills and martial arts.
The event spoke for the commitment that all in Presentation Convent Schools stand for. The students adorned in their resplendent attires showcased their enthusiasm in putting forth exuberant dance performances. The students of Martial Arts won applause from all as they wielded their prowess in proving themselves with their breath taking acts.
The chief guest, Dr Kanchan Kaur, in her address, lauded the performance of the students and also the school for meeting high standards of excellence in scholastic and co-scholastic arenas.
Winners of on the spot competitions were presented certificates amidst repeated applause by the gathering of parents.
Vote of thanks was presented by Shalini Manhas while Subash Dogra was the media incharge and stage was managed by teachers of Primary Wing.
Earlier, the function commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the revered Sisters.
