NEW DELHI, Jan 13: IT peripherals firm Amkette is looking to establish itself as a converged devices maker with its foray into audio solutions and is aiming to touch Rs 120 crore in revenues this fiscal.
Amkette, which currently sells digital storage solutions and wireless multimedia products like keyboards and Evo TV, registered revenues of Rs 80 crore last fiscal.
“We had set up the company in 1986 and till 2006, the focus was on digital storage products. We now have wireless solutions in our range, but the aim is to become a converged solution provider,” Amkette Director Rajiv K Bapna told.
The company is targeting growth of 40-50 per cent this year touching revenues of Rs 120 crore in this fiscal, he added.
“We are working on expanding our audio solutions range and introducing audio systems and speakers to have a bigger play in the devices category. Three years from now, we want to be a converged player with products across wireless, multimedia, storage and audio ranges,” Bapna said.
“Our first product will come out this year and in three years by December 2015, it should become a Rs 100 crore business in itself. We want to be present across price points, so that there is a product for everyone,” he said. (PTI)
