New Delhi, Mar 17: Amit Sharma, Special Secretary to Government, Animal/Sheep Husbandry Department, who is the only officer from J&K Government having specialization in e-governance domain, was a special invitee in Secure IT-2014 Summit held at New Delhi.
While addressing a packed house, Amit strongly vouched for foolproof e-governance practices across the board with safe and secure systems in place.
He mentioned about the beginning of a silent revolution across the nation in terms of shifting of traditional governance towards e-governance and emphasized that sooner or later, every State Government has to adopt e-governance models as the only way of successful governance.
It is pertinent to mention here that Amit Sharma recently finished one-year deputation from IIM Indore after undergoing Executive Post-Graduate Programme in e-governance including 5 months Internship with one Ernst & Young, which is one of the world’s leading consultancy firms in e-governance before joining back in J&K Government.
In his keynote address during Secure IT-2014 Conference, Amit talked about various safety parameters such as Data Recovery (DR) Centres, proper Softwares to counter virus, phishing and cloning attacks, deceptive techniques to counter hacking & cyber criminals, etc.
He also mentioned about J&K’s progress in e-governance implementation and expected that lot of more steps shall be taken in the near future to enforce safe e-governance in various departments of J&K Government through implementation of e-PRC, computerization of Land Records, e-PDS Card, creation of State Resident Data Hub and many such other initiatives.
