JAMMU, Mar 20: Gustavo De Aristegui, Ambassador of Spain to India, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at Raj Bhavan, today.
The Governor and the Ambassador discussed various matters relating to furthering the ties and establishing wide ranging understandings between the two countries.
They also discussed various possibilities of investors from Spain assisting the establishment of business and commercial ventures for the rapid economic growth of J&K, particularly in the areas in which both sides are keen to collaborate.
Gustavo De Aristegui also called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdulla and discussed various matters of mutual interests.
Meanwhile, Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, called on Mr. Vohra, Chancellor of the University.
Prof. Talat briefed the Governor about issues relating to the ensuing admissions to the University in the Academic Session (2014-15), initiatives being taken for further advancing the academic and research programmes, to date status of the ongoing infrastructure development projects, staff and faculty shortages etc.
