JAMMU, Oct 24: Amar Balidan Trust organised Samohik Yagnopavit ceremony of 15 children as per Vedic rituals.
A large number of devotees besides the family members and relatives of the children attended the function.
H L Chatta president of the Trust said every year the Trust is organizing the Samohik Yagnopavit ceremonies twice a year and so far the sacred thread was put round the neck of hundreds of children by the Trust.
The function was attended among others by former Union MoS and MLA Jammu West , Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria, president K P Sabha, K K Khosa, president PK Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo and senior vice president ASKPC, R K Raina. On the occasion the elections to the Trust were also held and Mr Chatta was re-elected as its president.
