JAMMU, Feb 11: Jammu Mathematical Society announced the results of Alka Memorial Mathematical Competition-2012 and one-day Students Conference- 2012, here.
Sonam Mehta of University of Jammu bagged first place in Postgraduate category, while Rahul Kumar and Ashwani Dutta of JU claimed second and third spot in this category respectively,
In Under-Graduate category, the first position was sghared by Sachin Bali, GCET, Jammu, Manpreet Kour, GCW Parade and Himani Nanda, GCW Gandhinagar, while the second spot went to Renuka Sharma, GCW Parade and Shubam Gupta, GCET, Jammu. The third place in this category was bagged by Ravinder Singh, GGM Science College, Jammu.
Meanwhile, in One-Day Students’ Conference, Samandeep Singh of Jammu University clinched first position and Poulomi Sharma of MAM College, Jammu bagged the second spot in Postgraduate category.
In Under-Graduate category Shagun Gupta, GDC Ramnagar, Hiteshwar, GCET, Jammu and Sheriya Sareen, GCW Gandhi Nagar claimed the first three places respectively.
The consolation prizes went to Manvi Sharma, GCW Parade and Shruti Gupta, GDC Ramnagar.
The prizes will be distributed among the winners at the inaugural function of the 23rd Annual Conference of Jammu Mathematical Society being held on February 26 to 28, 2013, at Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu. The organizers have invited all the winners along with their parents to this function.
